There's maybe like 4-6 games in the last 15 years that try to do anything to actually push the medium creatively in some sense and half of them gets met with huge scorn because muh morals.
is like if this were film insutry every movie after lotr would either try of being lotr again or star wars again until avengers came out, then every film just tried to be avengers again. I mean, more than it already happens.
But hey, at least in lotr character races matter and major characters are among many races, in star wars there's only two major non human character that actually matter and don't even appear in the majority of films.
